Exercise: Shovel snow again today. 4 driveways plus several walks. Not as strenuous a workout as yesterday, because Dennis and I pushed snow side by side, making it only 1/2 the effort, and the snow was not quite as wet as yesterday.
Breakfast:
Green smoothie (yummy, made by Dennis)
Oat bran muffin
Snack:
Fresh pineapple
Mixed nuts
Energy squares (Good Earth bulk section)
Lunch:
Lettuce salad
Tortilla chips w/ mango salsa
1 orange
Dinner:
Leftover Turkey dinner
Turkey
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Healthy yams
Steamed broccoli
Canned corn
The best part was Dennis warmed it all up while I did some sewing. It was wonderful.
He is so sweet.
I have a niece (Shantell) and a neighbor (Suzy) who are both starting a diet. I wish them the best. I hope maybe I can be some sort of inspiration for them, as it is not an easy thing to make the decision to loose weight. I know I have tried almost every diet there is and failed, with the exception on this one. I was telling my family tonight that the nice thing about the "Deb diet" is I can eat as much as I want as long as I eat within the "guidelines". I am not restricted to 1/2 cup of this and 3 ounces of that. So this "diet or lifestyle change" is what is working for me. Dieting is very personal and unique to each individual. I wish both of them the very best.
