Day 54 - Friday, Oct 31

Walked/Ran for approximately 35 minutes. Forgot to charge the GPS watch so I have no totals.

Breakfast:
Green smoothie
Macaroon muffin

Lunch:
Lettuce salad
8 grain crisps w/ mango salsa
Avocado

Dinner:
Chili w/veggies (at a Halloween party - was healthy and good)
Tortilla chips (I resisted the Costco rolls, which used to be one of my weaknesses)
Grapes (I packed my little baggie of food just in case)
Apple juice - I broke down and had to have something to drink with the chili because it was so spicy hot that my mouth was just burning, even thought it was delicious, it was very spicy. It was even too spicy for Dennis.

Snack: (At a BYU stake dance we had to chaperone)
Healthy brownie and mixed nuts (again from my little bag of food)
I resisted the Krispy kreme donuts that sat in front of us all night, but it really wasn't that hard to resist, as I just felt satisfied and didn't feel the need to eat.

I decided to weigh myself today instead of tomorrow which is Nov. 1st because it is a Saturday and Dennis will be home and I will most likely forget to do it until after I am dressed and then the weigh in will not be accurate. I knew that I have been loosing inches (and I have yet to take those measurements), but loosing weight does not always correspond the same as inches lost. So I told myself I would be happy with whatever the results were. Are you ready to find out? Well, I lost another 10 pounds this month. That is a total of 25 pounds. I about fell off the scales I was so excited! Better than the weight loss though is how I feel. I am so glad I researched for over a year before I took this on. I feel all that I have learned and am applying is what has helped me. I love that I don't have cravings and I always feel satisfied. That has never happened before on a diet. I actually crave food that I KNOW is good for me. Unbelievable, huh?!? I can't believe the energy and positive outlook I have. I know that part of it is from loosing weight, but mostly it comes from inside. I just FEEL positive, great, healthy, glowing....
I have been reading a RAW food book and it talks about how eating RAW makes a person become more "spiritually aware and in-tune". I definitely am not there, and don't know if I could ever adopt a total RAW life style, but it does help me understand a bit more how eating what the Lord wants us to eat (as in the Word of Wisdom, D&C 89) will help us run and not be weary and walk and not faint, as well as other blessings that are mentioned. Please don't think of me as kooky. I really am not. I just have NEVER in my life felt like this and I don't quite know how to explain it. One main reason I could never go totally RAW is they never cook anything. They only heat things to no more than 120 degrees, which means they "cook" their food in a dehydrator. I keep asking myself what about potatoes, yams, dried beans and legumes. The Lord also put them on the earth and they are not good in their natural state. But I do believe that the food we eat should be at least 50% raw and the rest should be natural and as organic as possible. Natural being anything the Lord put on the Earth for us to eat: veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds, whole grains and herbs.

--DON'T READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN LOOSING WEIGHT AND FEELING GREAT YOURSELF--
If you dear reader of my weird diet blog have even the smallest desire to try this way of eating, please, PLEASE, subscribe to the e-newsletters that are available at the links on the right side of my blog, and check out books at the library, or search the internet. "Dieting" is not successful, I know, I have tried all my life, almost every diet out there. I have lost and regained more weight than I have ever weighed at my highest weight and that is not healthy. You have to learn and study about what is right for you and then pray about it. Let Heavenly Father know that you are serious and really need his help. He has helped me so much.

Tonight I could hardly sit still. I wanted to keep moving. I even went into a nursery room at the church at one boring point and started doing wall push ups. This is so weird, I am usually a chair flower and don't want to ever move. During the BYU stake dance I wanted to get up with the students and dance. They would have laughed at me and my 70's style of dancing, but I wouldn't have cared too much. I LOVE LIFE!
