Dennis liked the enchiladas so well he had seconds - little does he know that I cleaned out the fridge and used lots of leftovers in them.

We had a Halloween talent show at Dennis' BYU ward tonight and of course there were all kinds of desserts. I went prepared though. I have found that the key to a successful diet is to be prepared. I now always try to go prepared with something I CAN eat so I don't feel left out or get tempted. I also try to stay far away from the dessert table so I won't be tempted just in case. Tonight I had a little bag of mixed nuts, an apple and some healthy brownies made with banana squash, oat bran, ground up flax seed, cocoa powder, agave, applesauce, and eggs. I also added pecans and unsweetened coconut. They were ok, definitely not as sweet as regular brownies, but they did the trick. One and I was satisfied. I really wasn't all that hungry as we had to quickly eat dinner (faster than I normally like to) so we could get to the party on time. I just ate it so I wouldn't be tempted to grab something of the dessert table while we were cleaning up.

I finally decided to break down and color my hair and get it trimmed. The appointment today went from 11:00 - 2:00 so I took my lunch and left it in the car. I ate it on the way home. I couldn't believe when I left her house it was that late and I hadn't been hungry in the least. It still amazes me how eating this way tides me over for hours and hours when in the past I was always feeling like I needed to eat and never was satisfied. I love not feeling overstuffed and gorged. Especially at night when I go to bed.
