Day 170 - Wednesday, Feb 24

Cellercised for 20 minutes.

After exercising I now make fresh grapefruit/orange and carrot/apple juice. Sunflower market had grapefruits 10/1.00 so I bought $9.00 worth. I love grapefruit juice and am giving my juicer a good workout. This morning I cut and peeled 2 oranges and about 8 grapefruits. Then I cut the apple in half and cut the tops off the carrots and get them ready so as soon as the grapefruits are all juiced, I just add the carrots and apples (I don't care if a tiny bit of grapefruit juice gets in the carrot/apple). It takes less than 30 minutes to do all that and clean up. I freeze all but 1-2 cups of grapefruit juice so I can have some to drink later in the year.

Pre breakfast:
2 cups carrot/apple juice (3-4 carrots, 1 medium apple)

Breakfast:
Green smoothie
Carrot, squash, applesauce, oatbran muffin

Snack:
A few mixed nuts
1/4 orange
I just wasn't all that hungry

Lunch:
Lettuce salad
Rice crisps

Snack:
2 slices banana bread
1 cup fresh grapefruit/orange juice

Dinner:
1/2 chicken breast in Teriyaki marinade
1/2 acorn squash
1 cup steamed broccoli

I learned a really cool thing about marinating chicken. When I bring the chicken breasts home from the store, I put 1-2 breasts in a Ziploc bag and cover with bottled marinade sauce and freeze. It marinates as it unthaws. So good and EASY!!!

I can't believe it - I sat down this afternoon and watched another chic flick. That is two days this week. I haven't done that in ages and it felt good (but very unproductive). Maybe "old" age is creeping up on me. No, it's not that. I'm pretty sure it is just the weather (cold and windy) and I wanted to prune trees or at the very least wash windows, but not outside in the cold. I don't think I will make a habit of it, but for now it is a nice "wintry" thing to do. Want to know what I watched? Monday it was "The Jane Austen Book Club" and today "Becoming Jane". Both very good movies. I have to admit it has gotten me interested in reading her books, of which I had no interest before.
