Day 165 - Friday, Feb 20

Cellercised for 20 minutes

Breakfast:
Carrot juice
Green smoothie
Carrot, squash, applesauce, oatbran muffin

It is a sad fact of life that when you hit middle age, the body starts to go downhill. My eyes have been going blurry and I now have to use reading glasses to read. In my online family herbalist course I read that carrot juice was VERY good for the eyes, so I got out my juicer, dusted it off and juiced away. I juiced 3-4 good size carrots and 2 very small apples and it was quite good. I sipped at this all morning while getting dressed, doing makeup, etc. It was gone before I actually ate breakfast. This needs to become a daily routine, because as with any "medicine - herbal or not" it needs to be taken daily. I would rather drink my "medicine" than take a little pill the Dr. has prescribed, oh wait, the Dr. can't prescribe anything for aging eyesight.

Snack:
1 orange
mixed nuts

Lunch:
Lettuce salad
Tortilla chips w/ mango salsa
1/2 nectarine (it was way to soft and yucky)

Dinner:
2 slices whole wheat pizza (from the freezer, I made this months ago)
Lettuce salad
Grapefuit/orange juice, freshly juiced this morning (OH, this was so delicious)

Amanda and Steve came up so Steve could help Dennis install our new water softener unit. I bought all of them pizza, and I pulled out some I froze months ago. Lately everytime I got in the freezer I wondered it I would ever eat it, and pondered throwing it away, as it was getting ice crystals all over it. The pizza tasted pretty darn good, and didn't taste freezer burnt. I am so very grateful for freezers. Mine is still stuffed to the brim. We eat some and add some.
