Exercise - 70 crunches, 50 each side. Leg raises for 50 counts (hard). Bicycle kicks for lower abs. Legs - I was some new leg exercises on channel 2 news last Thursday morning. I tried them today. 20 doggy leg lifts and 20 leg kicks, each side.
Ran 25 minutes on mini tramp.
Breakfast:
Green smoothie
Healthy Almond poppy seed bran muffin
Lunch:
Lettuce salad
Tortilla chips & Mango salsa
Snack:
Mixed nuts
apple
Dinner:
7 bean soup
Steamed cauliflower
2 slices wheat toast
1 orange
Can you see a trend here for my breakfast and lunches. I kind of go in spurts. I am loving green smoothies and muffins, and for lunch right now I am on a kick of tortilla chips and mango salsa. I go with what sounds good to me (I once heard that your body craves the food it needs, so if that is true, I must need something in the salsa or tortilla chips). Either way, it is healthy and I enjoy it.
I have been trying to eat less and exercise more, and not eat after dinner which is usually around 7:00. I am getting a bit nervous for my cholesterol test on Thursday. That is the main reason I started this healthy eating plan. The weight loss was just a nice side benefit. So I really hope that my numbers are good.
Amanda and I started this week on the "Family Herbalist" online course through the School of Natural Healing. There is so much interesting stuff that we are learning or having reiterated. It makes me really want to eat even better. There are still some unhealthy foods that I am eating according to the class material.
