We walked for 35 minutes. I am still waiting for my ribs to heal before we start on anything more strenuous. Thanks Kelly for being patient with me. I still can't believe that I am not hungry during the day. I have not felt the need to snack at all. I believe most of that is due to the food digesting properly (because I am not drinking at mealtimes and therefore diluting it). And also because eating nourishing, wholesome foods is much more fulfilling.
If truth be told, Dennis usually makes our smoothies for breakfast, while I make our lunches. I eat mostly salads for lunch and he eats anything as long as it is NOT a salad and not real healthy. I cook dinner and he eats what I cook (without complaining is the during the diet). He eats whatever he wants for snacking. Usually it is after I have gone to bed. Most days he cooks an egg or has two slices of white toast with his smoothie. Today he was running late and just grabbed the smoothie. He said he was starving by 9:30 so he went and bought himself a chili, cheese dog. Doesn't that sound like a yummy mid morning snack? He refuses to eat my yummy healthy muffins because in his opinion they are too dry. I think they taste great. The hardest part is trying to decide what to cook at night. The options are much more limiting than on an unhealthy diet.
Breakfast:
Green smoothie (peaches, yogurt, banana, spinach)(Dennis even had spinach in his today)
Corn, bran, blueberry muffin
Lunch:
Lettuce salad
Multi grain tortilla chips with mango salsa
Honeydew melon
Dinner:
Baked chicken (marinated in mesquite lime sauce)
Baked banana squash with butter
Clear Asian noodles with bell peppers, sugar peas, water chestnuts, garlic, celery, bean sprouts)
it was our first attempt at such a dish, and was rather bland. I need to get some Oriental seasonings or sauces.
