Day 15

Walked for 40 minutes this morning. Boy does 5:00 am come awful early.

Breakfast:
Green smoothie (fresh peaches, banana, flax seed, spinach, apple juice)
Macaroon muffin (very delicious - funny side note, Dennis does not like my muffins)

Lunch:
Lettuce salad (pretty much the same as yesterday)
Blueberry, corn, bran muffin (also delicious)

Dinner:
Lasagna (leftovers found in the freezer from who knows when)
Fresh green beans
1 slice casaba melon (thanks to my wonderful dad for this delicious treat)

I have to say I am so grateful to my dad who has given us so much fruit this summer. He works so hard to keep up his small fruit orchard and garden and he so unselfishly shares it with his family and friends. I have not even craved anything sugary in the past 2 weeks, and I think that is mostly because I have eaten all the fruit I felt like. Tonight I cut myself two slices of melon but could only eat one as I got full and felt satisfied from dinner. That never happened to me in the past. I was always eating, eating, eating......I never felt satisfied even though I would get full. I have been freezing and drying like mad so I will have plenty to eat this winter when the fresh is gone. I plan on making lots of cobblers from the frozen fruit and adding oatmeal topping(remember it is good for lowering cholesterol). I know that I have to have a plan for the holidays when there are so many delicious tempting sugary sweet foods around so I don't cave in. So far I have not felt restricted at all. I am getting bored with lettuce salads though and that has always been the case. I have to find some different recipes to change the taste around a little bit. Another test I will soon be facing will be going hunting with Dennis for two weeks. I will have to plan ahead and only take what I can eat, but also make me some healthy treats. I still hurt today, but felt some what better after the Chiropractor visit. I did the thing I have dreaded the most which was tripping on something. There was a board on the garage floor and I didn't pay attention to it and tripped. I was carrying something in my left (good) arm and so I only had my right (bad side) arm to catch myself with. At first it really hurt and I was so worried that I have injured myself worse. But I actually feel better tonight that I have all day. I have got to quit being such a clutz.
