Day 219 - Friday, April 17

Cellercised for 20 minutes. My sides are really sore this afternoon. I wonder if it is from shoveling yesterday, or the jumping jacks this morning?

Pre breakfast:
1 glass fresh squeezed (yesterday) OJ w/ cayenne

Breakfast:
Green smoothie
1 oatbran muffin
I don't really eat the same muffin everyday. I make 2 different kinds when I bake muffins, and switch them off every other day. One recipe was made with zucchini (I forgot to add sweetener - so I just put honey on it), the other recipe is my favorite and has squash & carrots.

Snack:
1 orange
Mixed nuts
You might think it is boring to eat this every day, but I love it. I could eat all sorts of things, but this is what I crave for my morning snack. (It is much healthier that a Dr. Pepper and either cookies, candy bar, or donut) and I feel so much better too.

I have found that I prefer fruits that are in season such as oranges are right now. I have tried most everything that the stores have, but I crave oranges. Much of the other fruit really lack in taste and makes me just want to wait for the real thing in "ITS" season. Strawberries are another fruit that seems to be in California's season, and they taste good, but I don't crave them like I do oranges. Today I am craving pineapple, so I will just have to cut up the nice big one sitting on my cabinet and have some for lunch. Yum! Yum!
from this to this

Lunch:
Taco salad
3 spears pineapple
Salad before I added tortilla chips

Dinner:
Frito beef skillet
Steamed broccoli
Homemade applesauce

Dessert:
Strawberries and granola in yogurt

Uncle Vern and Aunt Norma came back through with Tammy and Ammon on their way back home to Texas. They stayed the night and I made dinner for them and Amanda and Alisha's family. We love Frito Beef Skillet because it is not only very good, but it feeds a lot of people. I put extra, extra lean hamburger in it and yes I ate it. This is one of those "eat meat sparingly" times. I made a yellow cake and served strawberry short cake to everyone. I had my favorite dessert and did not feel deprived at all. It was so nice to have family together visiting and enjoying one another. The girls (and us) had not seen Tammy for over 15 years so that was a real treat for them to get to visit with each other. Amanda and Tammy are only months apart in age.
