What a cold, wet, SNOWY, wintry day. Of course it always seems to be cold or windy on Wednesdays when we go shopping to our produce sales. When we got to Amanda's and ready to make up our huge bowls of lettuce salad for the week our feet were freezing. Shoes and socks soaked! She let me borrow her slippers and I put my shoes over the heater vent. I hung the socks up to dry, but when I was ready to leave they were still soaking wet. Thankfully the shoes were partially dry and she let me borrow some nice dry warm socks. I don't know how the pioneers did it when they had to leave one place after another always in the winter. I have heard stories that many times they did not even have shoes and left bloody footprints in the snow. "OUCH!"

Pre breakfast:
Yesterdays leftover Lemon ginger zing
Breakfast:
Green smoothie
Oatbran muffin
Snack:
1/2 orange
mixed nuts
Lunch:
Taco salad
Snack:
1/2 orange
2 slices whole wheat bread
Dinner:
Fried brown rice w/ green onions, mushrooms, and cheese
Steamed cauliflower and broccoli
(Dennis had baked potato and pork chop)
Snack:
Fresh strawberries and granola in yogurt
I ate way too much of this and had that icky feeling I used to have when I would OD on food every night of my life. I have got to get back to brushing my teeth as soon as dinner is over. Having a clean mouth helps SOOOO...... MUCH! I also need to get back to not eating after 7:30 or 8:00 at night, and when we eat dinner at that time, I REALLY should not have my yogurt dessert. It is funny how old habits slowly creep back (even if the food is supposedly healthy).
