Dinner:
The worst dinner I have eaten on this diet.
Eating out is the worst. The choices are so limited. I used to love the Whistle Wok in AF so I chose there first. They had no dishes without meat, except for the rice and noodles. (At least Panda Express has about 2 choices). We had Mexican a few nights ago, and neither of us was in the mood for that. So Dennis suggested Jims Restaurant. I had never eaten there before, but expected it to be similar to the old JB's. I ordered broccoli, chicken alfredo with the chicken on the side. It came with lettuce salad and my choice of soup, I chose cream of broccoli. They were out of ranch dressing so I got thousand island. They must have poured half the bottle on my little plate of lettuce with 1 cherry tomato. The soup was so tasteless. It tasted like it came from the same stuff they make the gravy out of. Even Dennis thought so. The lettuce tasted tough and bitter, like they used the very outside leaves (romaine). The alfredo was AWFUL!!! The noodles and sauce were so tasteless. I poured salt all over it trying to help it out, but that didn't work to well. I ate the broccoli so I would not be hungry and feel like I wasted a whole 9 bucks on the meal. I also ate the texas style toast as I was hungry. Lettuce salad and broccoli were not going to fill me up and we were not going home right away to get me more food.
It is so frustrating that restaurants do not cater to people trying to eat a healthy diet. I don't mind salads, but I really don't want to eat 2 in a day, and if I eat one for lunch, then go out for dinner, the only thing to choose from on 99% of the restaurants is salad. AAAGGHHH! There is only one restaurant that I know of that serves healthy food and it is way down in Springville. It is called Ginger's Cafe and everything on the menu is organic and they have food for people who don't eat meat.
