It has been a while since I posted here, but life sure has a way of getting busy during the spring and summer, plus I seem to eat the same things everyday, with the exception of dinner and that menu is not that big either. I wanted to give an update on the weight loss as it is new month.
**I lost 3 pounds this month**
That is a total of 59 pounds. For some reason, I really want to get past the 60 pound mark and was hoping to do that this time. Even though my old clothes either don't fit anymore, or are really loose, and people make comments on how good I look, I still "feel" big. Not fat mind you, just big. My goal is to loose a total of 80 - 90 pounds. So I am 2/3 of the way there. That is not shabby at all! I feel I could loose more pounds, more quickly if I was a little more strict, as I was in the beginning, but right now I don't want to be that strict. When I eat, I eat till I feel full, sometimes, until I am a little too full, which is not so good. I am not in a hurry to loose weight, as I have mentioned in the past. My goal was not to loose weight, but to get healthy. That is a life long goal. Most people with a goal to loose weight, quit eating right as soon as they reach their goal and then all the weight, plus more, comes back. I still feel really good.
Some random thoughts -
*I had 1 roasted marshmallow while camping, it was sickening sweet, and I don't care to have another one.
* Malinda & Brian bought us SoBe's. My favorite is/was Pina Colada. It has taken me over a week to drink it. I take a few swallows when I am in the mood for a "sweeter" drink and after those few swallows, I feel "blah". The milk and sugar in it are way too much for me. I have about 1/4 of it left and after typing this email I am going to dump it out and quit torturing myself with it.
* Right now my favorite treats are cherries and watermelon. Y.U.M.M.Y.!!!
* I love the way I feel after eating live, raw, whole food. After eating this way for over 9 months, I have noticed that I feel the healthiest, happiest and sharpest when I eat RAW!!! Sounds weird I know, but it is the truth. If I didn't have to cook for anyone else, I would probably go 80 -90% RAW.
* On the days I exercised while on vacation, I felt so much better. I loved hiking and bike riding and want to do a lot more of it. I even want to go do some fun runs too (never thought I would say that - I must be going over the edge).
BEING HEALTHY AND LOOSING (OR KEEPING) WEIGHT OFF IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION!
I wish you the best on YOUR health journey.
