I love feeling healthy!
I hate thinking of things to cook for dinner!!!!!!! I have to think of 2 meals almost every night.
Tonight:
Dennis - Bacon, lettuce tomato sandwiches
I have to admit I will miss this sandwich. It was a summer favorite.
Deb - Fried tofu (my first attempt at this, cucumber chips, fresh picked tomato, watermelon, possibly steamed broccoli.
Even though I miss some foods, I don't regret my diet changes nor the way I feel. I really like being thinner and healthier. I once heard an instructor at Weight Watchers make this comment, which until now didn't make much sense to me, because I never really got to the point that it worked for me. "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels"
All of our married life I never understood how Dennis could crave "salty foods" over "sweet foods", that is until now. This is the first time in my life that I crave salty over sweet. Usually I just eat a handful of salted nuts to satisfy this craving, but sometimes I just really want a bag of microwave popcorn (I know, not the healthiest of all popped corns, but the air popper and oil popper just aren't popping the corn very well, and I have tried buying new corn from the store).
I love summer for the variety of fruits. Right now I am in heaven as I can get my three favorites any time. Bing cherries, Nice firm nectarines, and watermelon. YYYYUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!! Better than any candy bar or donut.
