It is another new month. I love new months-they each bring anticipation of new activities, holidays, and different adventures. I can hardly believe that summer is almost over and fall will begin soon. What a wonderful time of year-the garden producing so abundantly and there is just so much to fresh food to eat, that I can't get to it all.
I also can't believe that it has been nearly one year one this wonderful diet, ahem, new eating lifestyle. I started last year on Sept 15th. It has not been nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Actually just starting was the hardest part. I have learned so much over the past 12 months and it has been the biggest factor in being able to stick with it. I feel that I have a slew of online friends helping me eat healthy. I got on the scales yesterday morning and I lost another 2 pounds. That is now a total of 64 pounds. I am loving that part. There is one part that I don't like at all and that is all the sagging skin. My mother warned me not to wait until I was older to loose weight as this exact thing would happen. So now I get to have the lovely weight loss but also get to have the ugly wrinkly saggy skin. I want to loose at least another 20-30 pounds, but I can't imagine what I will look like then. Just piles of saggy skin hanging on me. I actually saw a lady in the store a little while back and when I saw her arms, I was just appalled. They looked deformed, and it looked like she had lost weight and that was all the skin with nowhere to go. When I looked at my arms the other day, I could see mine starting to look just like that. Thank goodness for 3/4 length sleeves, but they sure are hot in the summer. I will probably be forever jealous of women who have nice lean bodies with very little or no sagging whatsoever. But on the bright side, I do feel GREAT!!!
